Building Community focuses on fostering a supportive network for Black researchers in Southwestern Ontario. This initiative aims to create spaces for collaboration, mentorship, and mutual support, enhancing the sense of belonging and collective strength within the community.

Mobilizing Knowledge focuses on empowering the Black community, by ensuring that research findings and insights are accessible and actionable. This initiative promotes the sharing of knowledge within and beyond academic circles, amplifying Black voices and fostering informed decision-making. By bridging the gap between research and practice, we aim to create a more equitable and just society.

Archiving Black Canadian Presence is dedicated to preserving the history and contributions of Black Canadians. This priority emphasizes the importance of documenting and celebrating Black heritage, ensuring that future generations recognize and appreciate the rich cultural legacy.

Confronting Anti-Black Racism addresses systemic inequalities and biases within academic and research institutions. By advocating for policy changes, raising awareness, and supporting anti-racist practices, this priority strives to create a more just and equitable environment for Black researchers.
